Welcome to bonsaipot.nl, a site of a semi professional potter and bonsai enthusiast.

It all started about 20 years ago when I collected some trees with unusual shapes from the forest and put them into a pot.
Over the years changed my focus of interest from trees to the pots they are planted in and started to study the art of ceramics by means of attending studio classes and self study.
My educational background in chemistry became very useful in understanding the aspect of glazing which became an important field of interest, thousands of experimental glazes made, left a hundred that met my quality scrutiny.

All my  pots are skill fully handcrafted and are unique in design and glaze, so every pot is unique and no two pots will be the same.
Glazes are composed from base-materials/colorants and are the result of sometimes extensive experimental tests in order to get the right color/texture.
Firing is done in a gas-kiln at  temperatures ranging from 1260 - 1300°C, this ensures that every pot is completely non porous and frost proof.

Inquiries on purchasing pots can also be done via the contact from. Pots can also be made on special request.
Since my focus is on quality and not on quantity you will have to take into account a delivery time of approx. 4 weeks.
